WP Admin Menu

WordPress does not come with specially designed pages for plugin options. We can either use the admin menu page or the options page to make the HTML forms required for configuring options. I am going to use the admin menu page to implement the options. First we have to use the following code to add the page to the left menu.

add_action(‘admin_menu’,’pro_admin_menu’);

function pro_admin_menu() {

add_menu_page(

“Donation”,

“Donation”,

8,

__FILE__,

“pro_admin_menu_list”,

PRO_URL.”/images/shopping_cart.png”

);

add_submenu_page(__FILE__,’Doners’,’Doners’,’8′,’doner-list’,’doner_listings_site’);

}

We have to use the action called admin_menu to add a new menu item and pro_admin_menu is the name of the function to add the page. Inside the function we can use the built-in add_menu_page to create the menu item.

WordPress Theme Development Tutorial

A WordPress theme is created of variety of various files, and that they all contain a separate section of the page; the header can contain the title and navigation, then the index can contain the most content space (or on a post, the only file will the job).

The sidebar, clearly contains the sidebar and also the footer contains the footer and closes off the markup language. This all sounds terribly simple, however the vital bit is however you’ll be able to simply have one file, amendment it once and you’ll amendment your whole web site. modification your footer which amendment are going to be mirrored sitewise, not simply on one page.

Want to make a WordPress steam-powered email newsletter? No problem; simply pop it within the sidebar file.
Expanding on this, a post page have five files : the style.css file used for the style,the header.php file used for the header, the single.php file used for the post content, the sidebar.php file used for the sidebar and also the footer.php file used for the footer. you’ll be able to have a similar header.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files for the full web site, so once you build a modification, this transformation comes like a shot sitewide.
