Bali introduce a tourist tax to become the latest tourist hotspot. Lawmakers are charging from $US10 levy ($A14) on foreign tourists for the Indonesian island.
The bali destination is a favourite for Chinese and Australian holidaymakers and up to six million visitors visited in 2018.
The bali island’s environment and cultural raised the money from the tax. Island’s governor wayan told he expected tourists will recognize the evaluate.
“They will be glad to pay it as it will be used to support our environment and culture. This will give us enhanced fiscal space to support the development of Bali.”
New Zealand will bring in a tourist tax of $NZ35, while Japan announces that tourists leaving the country must pay 1000 yen (approx $21) per departure.
The 5.7 million international visitors were travelled to Bali in 2017 that was belonging to Australia and China. In the 2018 visitors figure was expected approx 6 million.
In the 2019 it will expected to inject $28 billion which is more than double the amount in 2012, according to sources.
