An HTML marquee is a scrolling section of text displayed on webpage depending on the settings. This is formed by using HTML <marquees> tag. The HTML <marquee> tag may not be supported by various browsers.

Marquees Syntax:-

<marquee attribute_name=”attribute_value”….more attributes>



<marquee> Tag Attributes

The list of attributes of <marquee> tag:

Attribute Description
width The width of the marquee.
height The height of the marquee.
direction The direction in which marquee should scroll. This can be a value like up, down, left or right.
behavior The type of scrolling of the marquee. This can have a value like scroll, slide and alternate.
scrolldelay This identify how long to delay between each jump.
scrollamount This identify the speed of marquee text.
loop This identify how many times to loop.
bgcolor This identify background color in terms of color name or color hex value.
