Heena Sidhu claimed the 10m air pistol gold to give India a fine start at the Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Brisbane on score Tuesday.
Sidhu shot a collective of 626.2 to claim top honors. It was her second international gold, claimed the top spot in the 10m air pistol.
Sidhu was topping qualification with a high score of 386 and two years ago she is best in international competition since the 387 she shot at the Asian Championship in Delhi.
In the final, Sidhu unwrapped up a gap of over two points behind the first five shot.
On the second side Deepak Kumar fetched a bronze in the 10m air rifle event to give India a fine start at the Shooting Championship.
Kumar took bronze while London Olympic bronze medalist Gagan Narang who have 626.2 shot records in Commonwealth, finished fourth ahead of country-mate Ravi Kumar.
