Coach Didier Deschamps create history as France wins World Cup after 20 years

Latest big story in sports world now days are France defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final to clinch the World Cup trophy at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Sunday 15 July 2018.

It was France’s second World Cup trophy and with the win coach Didier Deschamps also joined an elite club.
Didier Claude Deschamps has now become only the third man in history to win the World Cup as a player and as a coach.

Deschamps is French retired footballer who has been manager of the France national team since 2012.
Who captained France to the elusive trophy in 1998.

In a match that witnessed six goals, France took the lead and Croatia forward Mario Mandzukic inadvertently headed an Antoine Griezmann’s free-kick in the 20th minute for the first goal in a World Cup final.

Croatia’s player Perisic, had scored in the semi-final, But in finale after 10 minutes France had failed to clear a Luka Modric’s free-kick and Griezmann coolly does effort to converted the spot-kick in the 38th so that he can take the France back in the front.

After the second half, France increased their lead through Paul Pogba, whose performances in the tournament deserved a goal in its finale. After Kylian stretched the Croatian defence, Griezmann teed up Pogba, who finished after seeing his initial effort blocked.

Mandzukic this time scored, for Croatia’s advantage, capitalizing to reduce the deficiency.

In the end Les Bleus and their heroes of 1998 including coach Didier Deschamps achive their second World Cup of 2018.
